Do Points or Rewards Expire?
In the Kefi system, expiration settings are primarily managed at the Reward (Redemption) level rather than the earning level. Here is how you can manage the lifespan of the incentives your customers claim:
Customizable Lifespans: For every reward type—including Amount Off, Percentage Off, Free Shipping, and Free Product—you can decide how long a discount code remains valid after a customer redeems it.
Expiration Options: When configuring a reward, you can choose between two main settings:
Never Expire: The reward code stays in the customer's "My Discounts" section indefinitely until used.
Expire After (Days): You can set a specific window (e.g., 30 days) after which the reward code will become invalid if not applied to a purchase.
Transparency for Customers: If an expiration date is set, it will be visible in the "Rule Overview" and within the customer’s loyalty history, ensuring they know exactly how much time they have to use their prize.
Managing Profitability: Setting an expiration date is a common strategy to encourage faster repeat purchases and protect your margins from old, high-value discount codes being used much later.
