What is Kefi Upsells?

Kefi Upsells is a powerful Shopify app designed to help store owners increase their sales by offering strategic upsell opportunities to customers. Much like Kefi Bundles, which helps boost revenue through product bundles, Kefi Upsells focuses on encouraging shoppers to add more to their cart by suggesting complementary or higher-value products during their shopping journey.

By promoting relevant product recommendations or limited-time offers, Kefi Upsells helps you increase your Average Order Value (AOV)—a key metric that reflects the average amount spent each time a customer places an order on your store.

Upselling is an essential technique in eCommerce that not only boosts revenue but also enhances the customer's experience by helping them discover more of what they need.

Getting Started

Once you’ve installed Kefi Upsells on your Shopify store, you can access and view the Kefi Dashboard. This is your command center where you can monitor your store’s upsell performance, create and manage offers, and track overall growth.

Let’s take a deep dive into what each section of the dashboard means and how you can use it to maximize your sales.

Kefi Upsells

When you click on Kefi Upsells from your Shopify admin, you’ll be redirected to the main dashboard. This dashboard is divided into key sections, including:

  • Analytics – to track the performance of your upsell offers

  • Bundles, Slide Cart, and Upsell Offers – where you can create and manage various types of upsell strategies

1. Analytics

The Analytics section helps you monitor how well your upsell offers are performing. It provides key insights through three main metrics:

  • Offer Revenue – The total revenue generated directly from your upsell offers.

  • Offer Views – The number of times customers have seen your upsell offers across your store.

  • Offer Conversions – The number of times customers accepted and completed a purchase through an upsell offer.

You can also customize the data view in two powerful ways:

Filter by Offer Type – Use the Category option to view analytics based on specific offer types, such as Bundle, Cart, Thank You, or Post-Purchase offers.

Select a Date Range – Choose a custom time period to analyze performance trends over days, weeks, or months.

2. Offers Configuration

Now that you're familiar with your analytics, it's time to configure the upsell offers available through the Kefi Upsells app. These offers are organized into different sub-sections, making it easy to manage and tailor your strategy based on where and how you want to present the upsell.

Here’s a breakdown of each category:

All – This is the default view and shows all offers, including Bundles, Slide Cart, Thank You, and Post Purchase upsells in one place.

Product Page – This section includes a variety of bundle and upsell types designed to be displayed directly on the product page:

  • Standard Bundle – Offer a group of related products together at a discounted price.

  • AI Bundles - Automatically suggest product combinations based on customer behavior and store data for smart upselling.

  • Quantity Breaks / Volume Discount – Give discounts based on how many units of a product are purchased.

  • Mix & Match – Let customers choose from a selection of products to build their own bundle.

  • BXGY Bundle (Buy X Get Y) – Offer a free or discounted product when a certain quantity is bought.

  • Frequently Bought Together – Suggest commonly paired products with the item being viewed.

  • Product Add-ons – Display related add-on products that customers can easily include in their order.

  • Product Add-ons (Popup) – Similar to above, but shown in a popup format for better visibility.

  • Mix and Match (Sectional) – A more advanced version of Mix & Match with separate sections or categories.

  • Build Your Own Box - Allow customers to create personalized bundles by selecting a set number of items from different product categories or groups.

Slide Cart – This section allows you to create upsell offers that appear in the slide-out cart, giving customers last-minute suggestions before they check out. These are highly visible and can significantly boost AOV by encouraging impulse add-ons.

Thank You Page – Configure upsell offers that appear on the order confirmation page after a purchase is made. These can be used to promote related products or offer time-sensitive deals to drive additional sales.

Post Purchase – These offers are shown immediately after checkout but before the final thank-you page, allowing you to catch the customer’s attention with exclusive one-click upsells before they leave your store.

3. AI Bundles

To make setup even easier, you can also generate ready-to-use upsell offers using the “AI Bundles” option on your dashboard. This feature uses product data and sales trends to recommend high-converting bundle combinations tailored to your store—saving you time and helping you launch effective offers faster.

4. Offers Panel

Next, let’s explore the Offers section located on the left panel of your Kefi Upsells dashboard. This area gives you a centralized view of all your upsell and bundle offers, organized for easy access and management.

Here’s what each sub-section includes:

  • All

This tab displays every offer you’ve created—whether it's active, saved as a draft, or generated through the AI Suggestions feature. It’s a complete overview of all offers across your store.

  • Active

Only shows the offers that are currently live and visible to customers on your storefront. These are the offers actively contributing to conversions and revenue.

  • Draft

Displays offers that are still in progress or not yet published. You can use this section to edit, test, and finalize offers before activating them.

  • AI Suggestions

Contains smart offer ideas generated by Kefi’s AI Bundle Suggestions tool. These are based on your store’s products and can be customized or activated as needed.

This section makes it easy to manage your entire upsell strategy in one place—helping you stay organized and optimize your funnel efficiently.

5. AI Suggestions

The AI Suggestions section is where you’ll find automatically generated bundle ideas created by Kefi’s smart recommendation engine. These suggestions are based on your store’s product data and sales patterns to help you create effective upsell bundles with minimal effort.

In this section, you can:

  • View the full list of AI-suggested bundles

  • Publish a suggestion directly to make it live on your store

  • Preview how the offer will appear to customers

  • Edit the details before going live

  • Delete any suggestion you don’t want to use

At the top of this section, there’s also a “Create New Suggestions” button. Clicking this will prompt the AI to analyze your product catalog again and generate fresh bundle ideas based on the latest data.

This feature is a great starting point if you’re unsure which products to group together or want to save time on manual offer creation.

5. Billing

The Billing section allows you to view and manage your current subscription plan for Kefi Upsells. It provides a simple overview of what plan you're currently on and gives you the option to explore higher-tier plans if you need more features or scalability.

Kefi Upsells offers three flexible pricing plans to suit stores of all sizes:

  • Free – $0/month

Ideal for new or small stores with up to 50 orders per month.

If your order volume increases or you need access to more advanced features, you can easily upgrade your plan from this section. It’s a straightforward way to ensure your store always has the right tools for your current scale.

6. Settings

The Settings section helps you customize the display options for your upsell widgets and manage your store's checkout experience.

For users who are using third-party checkout apps or wallet buttons, you have the option to redirect customers directly to Shopify Checkout. To enable this feature:

Simply tick the checkbox to activate the redirect.

Click Save Changes to apply your settings.

This option ensures that your customers have a seamless checkout process, even when they are using external checkout tools or wallet integrations.
