Free Shipping Bar: Overview and Working

The Free Shipping Bar informs your customers how much more they need to spend to qualify for free shipping, displaying progressive messages as they add items to their cart. This helps increase the average cart value and boosts your store’s sales.

Please note: The Free Shipping Bar app does not directly apply free shipping but serves as a tool to advertise it to your customers and show their progress towards the free shipping threshold. 

All shipping charges are managed through your shipping profiles and discounts set in the Shopify Admin section.

Want to Set Up Your Free Shipping Bar? Here’s how -

STEP 1
Start with the onboarding. Click on ‘Next’.

STEP 2
Enable Kefi Core Snippet and click on ‘Next’.

Here’s how you can Enable Core Snippet to see bars in your shop, if it isn’t already enabled.

On the redirected page, enable ‘Kefi Core Snippet’ and then click on ‘Save’ and ‘Next’.

STEP 3
To create your First Bar, click on ‘Create Bar’

STEP 4
On the redirected screen, click on ‘Free Shipping Bar’ and then on ‘Create Bar’.

STEP 5
You can select from the sample templates - All, Simple, Gradient, Image. Or, you can click on ‘Custom Template’ to create your template.

STEP 6
Once the template is selected, you can start working on the Content. The Shipping Bar Preview is available on the right.

To get started, ensure that the following options are configured:

A. Messaging -

• Free Shipping Goal: Enter the dollar amount that customers need to spend to qualify for free shipping.

• Initial Message: This is the message displayed to customers when their cart is empty.

• Progress Message: This message updates customers as they add items to their cart, showing how close they are to achieving the free shipping goal.

• Goal Achieved Message: Once customers reach the free shipping goal, this congratulatory message is displayed.

• Upload an Icon: Upload an icon to enhance the look of your free shipping bar and attract more attention from customers.
  

B. Currency: 

Choose the currency for the free shipping bar to match your store's preferred currency, ensuring a seamless shopping experience.

Once the content configuration is done, you can either click on ‘Next’.

STEP 7 
In the Design section, you can work on your bar design and styling. On the right side, as you make the changes, you can also view the preview for Desktop and Mobile.

1. Templates: Choose from a variety of pre-designed templates to quickly set up your free shipping bar with a professional look.

2. Styling: Customize the colors, fonts, and layout to match your store's branding and ensure the bar seamlessly integrates with your website.

3. Additional Styling: In this section, you can select the bar position, add a link to the bar ( if yes, you can add URL so that on clicking on the shipping bar, you’ll get redirected to the URL), add a progress bar and more.

You can also adjust the width, height, space above and rounded corners from here. On completion of the design of your shipping bar, click ‘Next’.

STEP 8
Next,  move on to the ‘Target’ section. It is divided into 4 sections.

1. Page Targeting: Choose specific pages where the free shipping bar will be displayed to ensure maximum visibility. 

2. Device Targeting: Customise the appearance of the free shipping bar for desktop and mobile devices. 

3. Customer Targeting: Display the free shipping bar to specific customer groups based on their behaviour, location, or purchasing history. Personalise the experience to encourage more spending from targeted segments.

4. Advanced: Implement custom rules and conditions to optimise the bar’s performance and effectiveness.

STEP 9
In the Target section, begin with Page Targeting. Here, you can decide on which page you want to show your shipping bar. Simply select the option that best suits your requirements.

STEP 10
Next, move on to ‘Device Targeting’. In this step, you can select the device on which you wish to display your shipping bar.

STEP 11
Then comes the ‘Customer Targeting’ section, wherein you can select the kind of customers you want to target your shipping bar. 

STEP 12
Finally, move on to the ‘Advanced’ section. Here, you will get more options to target your specific audience/customers to display your shipping bar. Make the necessary changes.

STEP 13
You can also check the preview of the Shipping Bar from the right side of the screen. You can easily switch between Desktop and Mobile devices. Once you are happy with what you see, click ‘Save’.

STEP 14
In this step, you can activate your shipping bar by clicking on ‘Activate’ to display the shipping bar on your store.

And voila! Your Free Shipping Bar is ready!
