How Can Customers Redeem Their Points?
The "Ways to Redeem" section is where points turn into tangible value. Offering diverse redemption options keeps customers motivated to stay engaged with your brand.
Available Reward Types
Kefi currently supports four primary ways for customers to spend their accumulated points:
Amount Off: Customers trade points for a fixed dollar-value discount (e.g., 500 points = $5 off). This can be a set cost or an incremental ratio (e.g., every 100 points = $1 off).
Percentage Off: Points are exchanged for a percentage-based discount on an entire order (e.g., 500 points = 10% off).
Free Shipping: This allows customers to eliminate shipping costs in exchange for points, which is a highly effective way to reduce cart abandonment.
Free Product: A high-engagement option where customers "buy" a specific item entirely with points. This often carries a higher perceived value than a standard discount.
Merchant Configuration Options
When setting up rewards, you have full control over the "math" and the rules to protect your margins:
Point Costs: Define exactly how many points a reward costs.
Minimum Purchase Requirements: Choose if a reward can be used on any order or only once a specific dollar amount is reached.
Reward Expiration: Manage how long a discount code remains valid after it is redeemed (e.g., Never expire or expire after 30 days).
Discount Combinations: Select whether the loyalty reward can be "stacked" with other active Shopify discounts, such as shipping or product promotions.
Shipping Caps: For Free Shipping rewards, you can set a cap on the shipping cost to ensure you aren't covering expensive international or express rates.
Where Do Customers Redeem?
Customers can interact with these rewards in two main places:
The Loyalty Widget: A floating launcher where logged-in members can see "Rewards Available" and click Claim to generate a discount code.
The Dedicated Loyalty Page: A full-screen hub where all "Ways to Redeem" are showcased visually alongside the customer's current balance.
