With Kefi Loyalty, you can automatically reward customers with points the moment they create an account—making sign-ups feel valuable instead of optional.

Where to Set This Up in Shopify

To configure sign-up rewards, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Shopify Admin

  2. Navigate to Apps → Kefi: Loyalty Program Rewards

  3. Click Points Program from the sidebar

  4. Under Ways to Earn, click Manage

You’ll now see the list of all available earning rules.

Open the “Sign Up” Rule

  1. Locate the Sign Up rule in the Ways to Earn list

  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) next to it

  3. Select Edit

This opens the Edit Signup Rule screen, where you control how customers earn points for creating an account.

How the Sign-Up Rule Works

The Sign-Up rule awards points once per customer when they create an account.

What You Can Configure

Inside the edit screen, you can set:

  • Title – The label shown to customers (e.g. “Sign up & earn points”)

  • Points earned – A one-time reward (for example, 100 points)

  • Status – Enable or disable the rule at any time

  • Icon – The icon displayed in the loyalty widget

Existing customers will also receive these points the first time they sign in after the rule is activated.

Recommended Strategy for Sign-Up Rewards

For most Shopify stores, we recommend:

  • Offering 50–150 points for account creation

  • Making the reward meaningful, but not higher than a purchase reward

  • Pairing sign-up rewards with clear messaging on your storefront
